Meherbani Kaur Khalsa is a KRI Certified teacher and a KRI Lead Kundalini Yoga teacher trainer. She has practiced and taught Kundalini Yoga most of her adult life and teaches from her heart with simplicity and humor. In addition to Kundalini Yoga, Meherbani also practices and teaches Yogi Bhajan’s healing art of Sat Nam Rasayan®. She is one of a handful of practitioners worldwide who have been designated to teach this sacred art.
Meherbani first met Yogi Bhajan in 1969 while attending UCLA and studied Kundalini Yoga with him for many decades, including summer long intensives in New Mexico. She continues to enhance her teaching skills by attending yearly week long yoga and healing intensives in New Mexico, California and Italy, as well as occasional retreats in India.
She and her husband, Guru Mantra Singh, founded the Kundalini Yoga Center in San Diego in 1994, and began opening their doors to the community at 3:50 a.m. for morning Sadhana, teaching yoga classes, Sat Nam Rasayan® classes and hosting monthly community events, special concerts, yoga intensives, gong classes and seminars.
She has been married for over 35 years, has three grown children and three grandchildren. She is the owner and administrator of a preschool and a board member of two nonprofits in San Diego. She continues to train Kundalini Yoga teachers and teach Kundalini yoga and Sat Nam Rasayan® classes in San Diego.
